Career Support & Instructors

Shared Reins is developing a training model that connects practical instruction with career planning, mentorship, and preparation for civilian employment.

Experienced tradespeople and industry instructors would guide veterans through hands-on learning in small cohorts. Career planning would consider each veteran’s goals, preferred location, and family needs while exploring potential employment and apprenticeship pathways.

Programs and support services are in development. Employer partnerships and apprenticeship pathways are subject to future agreements. Employment and placement are not guaranteed.

Career planning would begin early, helping veterans connect their training with their goals, preferred location, and family needs. Planned support includes exploring employment options, apprenticeship pathways, and steps toward starting a business.

Shared Reins intends to build relationships with employers, labor unions, and apprenticeship sponsors to help veterans pursue opportunities after training.

Career Planning

Artist’s concept

The planned instructor model brings together experienced tradespeople and industry instructors to teach practical skills through focused instruction and supervised practice.

Small cohorts would give veterans opportunities to ask questions, receive individual feedback, and build confidence. Mentorship would reinforce safe work habits, teamwork, and expectations for the workplace.
